Cycling

The Killarney National Park is ideal for cycling with lots of surfaced roads providing you with some of the most stunning views of Killarney. For some gentle peddling, head for Knockreer Estate, Muckross House and Gardens, or Ross Castle where the terrain is mainly flat. Cycling enthusiasts will love the Gap of Dunloe cycle. This is a little more difficult as the terrain is hilly and the route is about 45 km. Cycle from Killarney to Kate Kearney’s Cottage in Beaufort, then continue through ‘The Gap’ until you come to Lord Brandon’s Cottage where you can take your bike on the boat for a very enjoyable guided tour through the lakes and back to Ross Castle.

Fishing and Boating

Eviston House is the ideal base for the avid fisherman with some of the best salmon and trout waters in Ireland nearby. Choose from our many lakes and rivers teeming with fish against a backdrop of magnificent scenery. Coastal and deep sea fishing opportunities are within an easy drive from our hotel.

If you just want to get out on the water there are many boating activities to choose from. These range from the traditional open boats to larger enclosed sightseeing boats. The more adventurous can explore the Lakes of Killarney by Kayak. Trips start at Ross Castle visiting Bronze Age copper mines and include the option to visit the 6th century monastic site on Innisfallen Island.

Paintball

Predator Paintball Adventure Park is located 1.5 miles from Tralee and 25 min from Killarney. It operates on 27 acres. The area is rugged terrain with trees, trails, hills, streams, bunkers and a base camp in the woods. Discounted rates available for our guests
